These two matching front and side mylar route signs are from a Salt Lake City, Utah, 1000 series GMC T6H-5307N "New Look" buses. They were obtained through the Toronto (Ontario) Transit Commission from second-hand buses they leased from Utah. The front sign (left) is dated October 22, 1981. The side sign (right) is dated October 29, 1981. Both signs have 129 exposures. The first set of route numbers and names are routes from Salt Lake County which includes Salt Lake City, Magna, Bluffdale, Bountiful and other area communities. The second set of route numbers and names are for routes in Weber County, which includes Ogden, Plain City, Kaysville, Hill Air Force Base and other area communities. Their respective sign tags are shown here. |
UTA 1981 built GMC T6H-5307N #8130, leased to the Toronto Transit Commission in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) and running as #1011, is seen at Finch Subway Station on Route 36, April 16, 1998. This was the type of vehicle that would have housed these two rollsigns while in Utah. |
This mylar side route sign is from a Salt Lake City, Utah, MCI Classic bus. It is dated March 20, 1990 and has 146 exposures. The first set of route numbers and names are routes from Salt Lake County which includes Salt Lake City, Magna, Bluffdale, Bountiful and other area communities. The second set of route numbers and names are for routes in Weber County, which includes Ogden, Plain City, Kaysville, Hill Air Force Base and other area communities These routes were later renumbered in the 600s in the early 2000s. The third set of route numbers and names are for routes from Utah County, which includes Provo, Orem and other area communities. These routes were later renumbered in the 800s in the early 2000s. Its sign tag is shown below, some of which was scuffed and missing. |
