Rollsigns from Toronto, ON Eglinton Garage
This front linen rollsign has 51 exposures. Through research its version date was found to be around February 29, 1988. Its version number on the sign is "E-50". Exposures that are red, yellow and black are the original design. From 1985 on, the TTC used only black for regular service routes to save money. The blue exposures represent overnight service routes on their "Blue Night" network. A YouTube video of this rollsign can be viewed below.
Up until 2002, the TTC's Eglinton Garage was the oldest bus garage in the city. When streetcars operated along Yonge Street and interurban cars went to communities to the north, streetcars also operated out of here. Before it was merged with Danforth Garage and the new Eglinton Garage opened, the original Eglinton Garage operated routes that were anchored primarily in the central and north central area of Toronto, but spread to all areas of the city.

This front linen rollsign was off of 1981 built Flyer Industries Ltd. D901 #8471. It has 57 exposures. Through research its version date was found to be around January 20, 1991. Its version number on the sign is "E-54". The 101 exposure on these signs was a misprint: The route name was "Donway-York Mills", not "Donway-York Mills Stn" as printed.

This front mylar rollsign was off of 1975 built GMC T6H-5307N New Look #8086, the only 1975 New Look to operate out of Eglinton Garage after 1995. As a result, this sign was the one and only mylar ever printed for Eglinton Garage. No matching side sign was ever printed. This sign's print date is January 17, 1995. It has 26 exposures. Unofficially, it is listed as version "E-56". Its sign tag is shown below.

Toronto Transit Commission 1975 built GMC T6H-5307N "New Look" #8086, featuring the yellow mylar rollsign shown above, is seen eastbound on Eglinton Ave. East at Mt. Pleasant Road far side on October 21, 1997. This bus was the only one to carry an Eglinton Division yellow mylar rollsign, and only on the front.
