11/9/90 TRANSIGN
Ajax Transit OBI 05.501 Orion V #915, a bus that was received
around the same time as this sign was printed, is seen at the
Ajax GO Station on February 3, 1995.
Ajax Transit operated as an independent transit system for the Town of Ajax up until
September 4, 2001, when it and its neighbouring system to the west,
Pickering Transit,
merged to become the
Ajax-Pickering Transit Authority. APTA operated jointly until
January 1, 2006, when it, along with
Whitby Transit, Oshawa Transit and Clarington
Transit of Bowmanville, merged to become what is now
Durham Region Transit.
