The Belle Urban System is a joint effort of the City of Racine in cooperation with
the Villages of Mount Pleasant, Sturtevant, Caledonia and Yorkville.
"The Belle" refers to the city of Racine's nickname "The Belle City".
This mylar side route sign was designed
for one of their GMC New Look buses.
It is dated February 27, 1976 and has 15
exposures. Its sign tag is shown below.
The Belle Urban System GMC T6H-4523A #009 is seen southbound
on Main Street at 6th Avenue, May 30, 2001. This is the type of bus
that would have housed this rollsign.
